Happy Voting!

Today marked the first time I’ve ever voted. Its probably only the second or third time any other woman in Kuwait has ever voted, so I don’t feel that far behind. Dad said the guys I chose will never get into parliament, but that doesn’t really matter, to me they were the best.

Guess what? I smuggled my camera inside the voting area but then chickened out of using it. I didnt want to get kicked out of such an important event.

Let’s hope that this time around they don’t spend every session arguing about ridiculous stuff, maybe they can fix the bedoon issue? unemployment? rising prices? human rights violations? maybe.
